Mums + Bubs Strength & Recovery · Chirnside Park

You do not need childcare before you can start looking after your own body.

Babies are welcome at this relaxed small-group Exercise Physiology session for mums who want to rebuild strength, movement confidence and connection after having a baby.

We have soft rugs and space for prams so your baby can rest, play or stay close by while you exercise.

There is no pressure to “bounce back”, keep up with anybody else or return to the body you had before pregnancy.

Babies

Absolutely welcome

Soft rugs and pram space are available in the studio.

Babies belong here too

Your baby can stay close while you look after yourself.

One of the biggest barriers to exercise after having a baby is simply working out what to do with the baby.

Here, you do not need to solve that problem before you arrive.

We have soft rugs where babies can lie, move or play, as well as space for prams if your baby is sleeping or prefers to stay there.

If your baby needs you during the session, that is okay too.

Feeding, settling, cuddling or taking a pause is part of real life with a baby. You are not disrupting the session.

No childcare required

You can look after your body and still have your baby right beside you.

The session is designed around the reality that babies do not always follow our timetable.

What might we work on?

Strength, confidence and movement that fits this stage of life.

Rebuild strength gradually

Start from where your body is now and build strength without pressure to rush or return to your previous level immediately.

Feel confident moving again

Work on movement, balance, mobility and everyday confidence in a supportive environment.

Bring your baby

Babies are welcome, with soft rugs and pram space so they can rest or play close by while you exercise.

Ask baby development questions

Robyn also specialises in baby development, so questions about tummy time, rolling, sitting and movement milestones are welcome.

Connect with other mums

Exercise can also be a chance to talk, laugh and spend time with other women who are at a similar stage of life.

No bounce-back pressure

This is not about getting your old body back. It is about supporting the body you have now and building from there.

No bounce-back culture

Your body has been through a lot.

The goal is not to punish your body back into a previous shape.

Pregnancy, birth, feeding, sleep disruption and caring for a baby can all change how your body feels and how much energy you have.

We start with what feels manageable now and build strength gradually.

Some days you may feel ready to challenge yourself. Other days you may need a gentler session.

Both are valid.

Baby development questions are welcome

Movement is part of my work with babies too.

Alongside Exercise Physiology, I have extensive experience in early childhood movement and baby development through my work with Play Move Improve.

So if you are exercising and wondering whether your baby's movement looks okay, you are welcome to ask.

That might include questions about tummy time, rolling, sitting, reaching, early movement skills or developmental milestones.

This does not replace your baby's medical or developmental assessment where one is needed, but it gives you a space where movement questions are welcome rather than feeling like something you have to save for another appointment.

More than repetitions

You are allowed to talk and laugh while you exercise.

New motherhood can sometimes feel surprisingly isolating.

The session is deliberately small and welcoming so there is room to get to know the other women around you.

We can build strength and still have a conversation.

The physical work matters, but connection matters too.

Who might feel comfortable here?

You do not need to already feel ready for exercise.

You feel weaker than you expected

Everyday lifting, carrying, getting up from the floor or pushing a pram may feel different from before pregnancy.

You feel nervous about a gym

You want support with strength but do not want mirrors, competition or pressure to perform.

You want to start slowly

You would prefer professional guidance while gradually rebuilding confidence with movement.

You want some adult connection too

You want movement to be useful, but you would also enjoy meeting other mums along the way.
