Chirnside Park · Yarra Ranges · Melbourne's outer east

There are plenty of reasons to get out of the house. This can be one of them.

Never Too Old to Play is a local space for people to move, create, work, learn, meet others and try something new.

Come for a seniors movement session, work alongside other small business owners, join a creative event, hire the space for your own group or help shape what we offer next.

What brings you here?

Start with the part that sounds useful to you.

You do not need to sign up for a membership or work out where you fit. Have a look around, come to something that interests you or send me a question.

Monday mornings

A movement group for seniors that doesn't feel like exercise class.

Monday mornings start at 10am with playful movement activities designed to work on mobility, memory, balance and confidence.

Then we put the equipment away, make a cuppa and spend another half hour chatting.

You do not need to be fit, coordinated or know anyone before you come.

$16 casual, including the cuppa afterwards.

Local small business

Sometimes working for yourself gets a bit too quiet.

Community Business Support Sessions are for local business owners who want somewhere to work, talk through ideas and get things done around other people.

Bring your laptop. Work on your website. Plan content. Film a reel. Ask a social media question. Get another pair of eyes on an idea. Or simply sit down and finally finish the thing you have been putting off.

I have spent more than 10 years building Play Move Improve, creating online content and growing a large social media audience, so there is plenty we can talk through while you are here.

For local teens

I'm not going to create a teen program just because it sounds like a good idea.

I would love the space to become somewhere local teens can meet through board games, craft and shared activities, but it needs to actually suit the young people and families who would use it.

So before setting regular sessions, I am gathering interest from parents and teens around activities, days, times and whether an after-school or daytime homeschool option would work better.

Content Creation Club

Create the content instead of thinking about creating the content.

Our Content Creation Club is for local small business owners who are tired of trying to come up with everything by themselves.

Bring your products, phone, laptop or half-finished ideas. We can film, photograph, write, brainstorm and get a month's worth of ideas moving together.

Venue hire in Chirnside Park

You might already have the group. You just need somewhere to run it.

The venue is a large open-plan space that works well for activities where people are learning, creating, moving or connecting together.

It may suit breathwork, craft groups, community education, workshops, homeschool groups, business sessions, parent groups, training and movement-based activities.

It is not set up as private consulting rooms, so it is best suited to groups and shared activities rather than confidential one-to-one appointments.

Another idea I'm testing

Would local small businesses use a community market day?

Selling online is useful, but there is something very different about putting your work on a table and talking to real people.

I am exploring whether there is enough local interest for a relaxed small business market day where businesses could sell products, showcase services and meet people from the local community.

There is no date yet. First I want to know whether businesses would actually want a stall and whether locals would come along.

Meet Robyn

Why I created Never Too Old to Play.

I'm Robyn Papworth, an Accredited Exercise Physiologist, educator and founder of Play Move Improve.

For more than a decade, my work has combined movement, education, creativity and practical ways of bringing people together.

Never Too Old to Play grew from a simple idea: adults need places to connect too.

Somewhere you can learn something, make something, move your body, work on an idea, have a laugh or meet someone you would never have met sitting at home.
